Living in an island, it is not possible to rely on electronics. Already 2 laptop out of order in 2 years. Since a few weeks I was testing Cloud solutions and also private files synchronizing between my computers and servers. Here are my results :
For private cloud, computer to computer sync, not so many offers, but Windows Live Mesh is the more easy, fast and reliable. Works on Windows 7 and Server, not on Windows XP. Free. Some apps can be found for mobile devices but only with the cloud, Skydrive.
For pure Cloud, Dropbox is the best. Fast and reliable, good sync, no errors, allows multiple devices. Just hoping they will give 5Go soon (in beta test only).
4Shared looked interesting, but it can't manage lot of folders and files. Too bad cause it was nice to have 15Go free. Just keep it for heavy backtesting data.
Let's wait for Google solution coming soon.
